I heard my dad say once that the Bible was actually a Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth. It's like never-ending stories. Every single time I read them it brings a total different outlook in all things. This bread of life satisfies more than any other meal invented. I must admit that at times I do get caught up with the typical daily routines. Then I take a step back and realize that I'mactually in a trap. We have an enemy that hates when we read this book of in-struction. Why? Because he is only after our de-struction! I've learned that no matter how busy life may get, I need to read the word. If you think about it Joshua 1:8 is the outline of this whole Christian journey. I still remember teaching my toddlers a song that went like this: If you read your Bible and pray every day, pray every day, pray every day. If you read your Bible and pray every day then you'll grow, grow, grow and you'll grow grow grow, and you'll grow, grow, grow. If you read your Bible and pray every day then you'll grow, grow, grow. If you don't read your Bible and forget to pray, forget to pray, forget to pray. If you don't read your Bible and forget to pray then you'll shrink, shrink, shrink and you'll shrink shrink shrink, and you'll shrink, shrink, shrink. If you don't read your Bible and forget to pray then you'll shrink, shrink, shrink. I don't mind shrinking physically but spiritually I want to grow in the spirit.
